Updating nvidia card drivers
It’s all done with just a couple of mouse clicks – easy even if you’re a computer newbie. To get the latest Windows 10 NVIDIA driver, you need to go to NVIDIA website, find the drivers according to your specific Windows version and graphics card model (see How to Quickly Get Operating System Version).
Once you’ve downloaded the correct driver for your system, double-click on the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.
Make sure you remove those or at least disable them.I'm going to be upgrading from a 660 to a 970, however I don't know if I need to uninstall the 660 drivers first or if the 970 driver installation would take care of that, as they're both NVIDIA drivers.I've already googled and there's always 2 sides to the question. But even if you disable all components but the graphics driver, you will get some extra services and Telemetry installed on the system. One of the things that users who are concerned about this increase in components may do is install only the graphics driver, and that without running the Nvidia installer at all.
Option 1: Update drivers manually – You’ll need some computer skills and patience to update your drivers this way, you need to find exactly the right driver online, download it and install it step by step.
